It’s my sons 9th birthday today and I decided to take him to try the best pizza in the area. Called up and spoke to the owner who managed to book us a table last minute for 7pm. We ordered a couple of lemonades and 1X 12 inch meat pizza between me and my son which had sausage, chicken, ham and cheese. The pizza was so fresh, delicious and very lite that we ordered a second one and after that we were stuffed. I supplied a chocolate cake and the owner/chef brought the cake out with candles and sung happy birthday to my son. It was a beautiful moment and was so nice of him to do that. This is the best pizza place I’ve been to plus the friendly staff etc made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for everything I will be bringing my son and mum back here very soon. I think it’s going to be my son and I new place to go. Don’t hesitate to call to book table now you will wish you booked sooner!!!!
Last night, a customer insisted on kissing the chef the food was that good. Everything was cooked to perfection, convivial atmosphere, would do well in Italy, starters great, steak succulent, pasta al dente, just over 20 per head for the food with a couple of shared starters. Reminder of how good Italian food can be

Slow, slow, slow service with less than average food, even garlic bread undercooked. Had to ask many times for a baby chair, with one starter and water never arriving (but still on handwritten bill, hmmmmm) then nicely wrapped up in a heavy bill. Was told the owner only cooks in the evening and they had only just opened to trial lunchtimes !!! Assume evenings is when they choose to cook tasty food. Got to the point where we just wanted to eat and leave and smile, so not seem rude. Maybe this review will make it better for those that follow us, let's hope On a positive note, nice wine and the cook/waitress was very friendly with a warm smile.
Visited Ricardo’s for lunch yesterday after reading previous reviews. I was shocked to find it wasn’t busy at all, especially after eating meal we had. We both ordered too much and took a doggy bag home which was eaten tonight. Nina the lunch time chef and business partner prepared our meals to perfection. Meatballs with spaghetti and Ricardo’s Special Pasta for starters and then from the specials meatballs and ravioli for main course. This is why we took most of it home as the portion sizes were on the large side plus I'm ashamed to say we had Cheesy garlic bread before our starter too so I'm blaming that for filling us up. We’ve been looking for an authentic Italian/Sicilian restaurant since our beloved La Toscana closed in Billericay and I think we’ve found it. A small independently run restaurant with friendly service and amazing food. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Nina & Nick.
I visited this restaurant last week with my friends, and both experiences were excellent! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was super friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the quality. Definitely going back again!!!
